Woofstock

WE HAVE A NEW LOCATION FOR THIS EVENT — Butler Park, 6203 W. Price Blvd. 

Join us for a fantastic, dog-centered event that's all about connecting canine owners with valuable information on dog-related products and services. You and your furry friend are welcome to mingle with fellow dog enthusiasts, local businesses and enjoy contests, K9 demonstrations, delicious food trucks, and even meet some adorable adoptable dogs! Ensure your dog has the proper vaccinations and shot records to join in the fun. Additionally, we are gathering donations of dog and cat food and treats to provide aid to a nearby animal shelter.

Want to feel warm and fuzzy? Bring some dog food or supplies to donate. The City will be collecting these items and will give them all to a local pet shelter after the event. Dogs looking for their ‘fur’ever home will also be onsite at Woofstock and ready for adoption. Other highlights of the day will include contests (such as far-out tricks) and raffle drawings for an opportunity to win small prizes.

All dogs in attendance must be vaccinated, display current tags and be on a leash throughout the event. Handlers must be at least 18 years old. Any dog displaying aggressive behavior toward people or other dogs shall immediately be removed from the park by its handler. Handlers are responsible for removing and disposing of dog waste.

Agenda

The event will feature a doggy costume contest, activities, exhibitors, and vendors — including food vendors with treats for your pup and yourself. Dogs looking for their ‘fur’ever home will also be onsite at Woofstock and ready for adoption. The below schedule is subject to change.

10:00 a.m. – Welcome 

10:30 a.m. – City of North Port K-9 Unit and Rescue Demo

11:30 a.m. – Bob the Dog Discipler and K-9 training Demo

12:00 p.m. – Best dog costume

12:30 p.m. – Sarasota K-9 Search and Rescue Demo

2:00pm – Thank you for participating!

Vendors and Exhibitors

The City is seeking food and merchandise vendors and exhibitors for Woofstock. All merchandise vendors and exhibitors must have a canine or pet theme to their message and/or products and services. Government and nonprofit vendor spaces are free (with no sales and/or food and beverage distribution). Vendors and exhibitors will be responsible for their own tables, tents and chairs.
