Permit Forms

Effective February 3, 2025, ALL one-family and two-family dwellings and commercial/industrial permit applications are required to be submitted electronically through the Accela system. Paper permit applications for Re-roofs, window and door, screen enclosures, swimming pools, etc. will be accepted in person at City Hall until June 30, 2025. Beginning July 1, 2025, ALL permit applications will be required to be submitted through the Accela system through the portal located on the City of North Port website here. 

 

 

NOTICE: Effective October 28^th, applications for new one-and-two-family homes along with additions and accessory structures, signs, and stand-alone underbrush or tree removal are required to obtain an approved Certificate of Zoning Compliance BEFORE submitting a building permit application. Certificate of Zoning Compliance applications can be found here and are to be submitted electronically to CZCapplications@NorthPortFL.gov

 

Appointment Information

The Building Division uses an appointment system to make wait times shorter. It is strongly encouraged to make an appointment before your arrival. If you arrive without an appointment, you must check in to the kiosk, and you will helped when a time slot becomes available. Customers with a prior appointment will be serviced first.

If you made an appointment, you must check in to avoid unnecessary delays and to let staff know you arrived.
