The City of North Port hosts a "Coffee & Conversation" series, providing residents an opportunity to engage with the Mayor and City Manager, share ideas, concerns, and feedback on city matters. This public engagement initiative is a collaboration with local businesses and aims to foster open dialogue between citizens and local officials.

The City of North Port participates in the "North Port United" Tour series, hosted by North Port Forward at locations across the City. These community engagement sessions allow residents to discuss the city's future with leadership, including the City Manager.

National Community Survey (NCS)

In 2023, the City conducted the National Community Survey (NCS), developed by the experts from the National Research Center at Polco. The NCS captures resident's opinions considering ten central facets of a community. To learn more, review the 2023 NCS Report for North Port.

Residents of North Port can actively participate in city governance by attending public meetings and providing public comment. This allows citizens to voice concerns, share ideas and engage directly with elected officials and city staff on important local matters.

North Port University (NPU) is a free, eight session course of interactive classes designed to provide insight into City government and develop future leaders through well-informed and civically engaged residents.
