Nov. 5 Charter Referendum

Voters will be asked to amend the City Charter to allow City Commission to issue debt without prior voter approval to respond to a declared emergency or for some safety or public health projects. With the ability to borrow money as it’s needed, the City of North Port can start to Get the Work Done.

City offices closed September 2 for Labor Day

City Hall and other City offices will be closed Monday, September 2, in observance of the Labor Day holiday.

The Solid Waste Division will not be collecting garbage, recycling, or yard waste on Monday, September 2. Collection will be delayed/pushed back one day for the remainder of the week following the Holiday. Monday collection will be collected on Tuesday, and Tuesday collection will be on Wednesday.
