Grandparents Day Ice Cream Social to be held on Sept. 13

Get ready to travel through time with the North Port Parks & Recreation Department at this year’s themed ice cream social: “Groovy Grandparents Custard Blast from the Past Party!” On Sept. 13, from 6-8 p.m., at the Morgan Family Community Center, located at 6207 W. Price Blvd., is the place to be for a nostalgic evening celebrating the 1950s, 1960s, and 1970s.

This family-friendly event invites grandparents and children (ages 4 and up) to dress up in their favorite decade's attire and join us for an evening filled with fun and memories. The celebration will feature delicious custard provided by event sponsor North Port Culver's, a decade-themed costume contest, exciting Bingo games, a photo booth to capture the moment, and a chance to decorate picture frames with your loved ones.

The public is encouraged to pre-register, as space is limited. Patrons can sign up online at NorthPortFL.gov/Grandparents-Day or can call 941-429-PARK (7275) for assistance. The fee is $3 per person.
