Hurricane Idalia: FEMA Individual Assistance available

Individuals and households in Sarasota County are now eligible for FEMA Individual Assistance due to Hurricane Idalia impacts. Individual Assistance is available to individuals and households in need of financial and direct services who have uninsured or underinsured necessary expenses and serious needs.

The deadline to apply has been extended to Nov. 29, 2023.

The American Red Cross has initiated its Financial Assistance Program. Sign up for appointments at redcross.org/idalia or by calling 800-RED CROSS.
 
Individuals can also call the Florida Recovers Support Line at 877-771-6667 from 7 a.m. to 7 p.m. or visit floridarecovers.org to see if they qualify for temporary sheltering assistance and to learn more about food, transportation and health care assistance.
