Hurricane Milton Yard Waste & Debris Pickup Update, Map

Published on October 18, 2024

A North Port Solid Waste truck picking up yard waste.

Most of the debris North Port experienced from Hurricane Milton can and will be picked up by our Public Works team during regular collections.

Please only place your vegetative debris curbside and do NOT place in the swales, or near fire hydrants or backflow meters. This can interrupt the stormwater conveyance system or damage infrastructure.

You can help ensure a more efficient cleanup and recovery process by properly preparing your material according to our regular yard waste guidelines.

How to use the map

There are two tabs at the top:

  • “Prepared Yard Waste in Bins, Bags and Bundles” – this reflects the routes completed by the crews using rear loaders.
  • “Yard Waste Requiring Claw Truck/Specialty Equipment” – this represents work being completed by the teams with the claw and dump trucks.

The blue areas indicate areas that have been collected.

If you live in an area that is marked as collected, but have additional vegetation from the storm, please contact the Department of Public Works using this form.
