Hurricane Milton parks recovery continues in North Port

P&R Update

The Parks & Recreation Department has continued to complete repairs throughout the park system due to the impacts from Hurricane Milton. The parks listed below have reopened to the public. Parks that remain closed continue to have hazards that impede safe access and additional attention prior to reopening.  For safety reasons, please refrain from accessing parks and amenities until they have been noticed as reopened. We appreciate your patience as we ensure your parks are ready to use.

OPEN FOR PUBLIC ACCESS

  • Morgan Family Community Center
  • North Port Aquatic Center – 6205 W. Price Blvd
    • Swimming lessons will resume today, Oct. 15.
    • Water aerobics to resume Wednesday, Oct. 16
  • Canine Club Dog Park – 6700 Appomattox Dr – to reopen Thursday, Oct. 17
  • Garden of the Five Senses, 4299 Pan American Blvd.
  • Narramore Sports Complex, 7508 Glenallen Blvd.
    • Softball field lights are not working, open for practice during the day
  • Butler Park, 6203 W. Price Blvd.
  • Larry Thoennissen Athletic Fields, 1602 Kramer Way
  • Atwater Community Park, 4475 Skyway Ave.
  • Highland Ridge Park, 6225 Kenwood Dr.
  • Marina Park, 7030 Chancellor Blvd.
    • Floating dock is not available. Pavilion and boat ramp available upon reopening.
  • North Port Skate Park, 5651 North Port Blvd.
