NORTH PORT, FL - City Manager Jerome Fletcher’s “North Port United” Tour, a series of community engagement and discussion sessions, is coming to the North Port Library, 13800 Tamiami Trail, at 6 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 21.
“North Port United” is aimed at bringing together City leadership and North Port residents to discuss the future of our growing city. Sessions have been held in various parts of North Port and have touched on topics including the City’s budget, zoning, the widening of Price Boulevard, the future of Warm Mineral Springs Park and more.
“We hope citizens will take this opportunity to come out and engage with their local government, hear updates and information directly from us and have a conversation about the things that matter most to them,” Fletcher said.
North Port Forward, a nonprofit organization encouraging dialogue and civic involvement, has officially partnered with the City to organize and host the tour series.
The Feb. 21 event at the North Port Library will include a brief presentation and an opportunity for citizens to have their questions answered by City staff. Online registration is required. Each person must register individually. Seating is limited. Please, no walk-ins. Light refreshments will be served.
