Register today to have a float or be a vendor at the 2024 Poinsettia

NORTH PORT, FL — The Parks & Recreation Department is inviting organizations, individuals and businesses to submit their applications for a parade unit in the annual Poinsettia Parade, presented by Quality TV. The parade, an annual North Port tradition, will be held on Dec. 7, 2024 at 5 p.m. Spectator admission and parking are both free, this year’s theme is “Poinsettias in Paradise.” 

The Poinsettia Parade will travel south down Sumter Blvd., ending at the City Center Front Green (4970 City Hall Blvd.), where the Poinsettia Festival will take place before and after the parade, starting at its new time of 3 p.m. and ending at 7 p.m. In the past, the parade has featured more than 50 units, including local businesses and organizations. The fee for parade participants is $30. There is no charge for government entities, active U.S. military and qualifying nonprofits with 501(c)(3) status.  Those interested in participating can complete a parade unit application online.

Help us bring 'Poinsettias in Paradise' to life by dressing in theme and joining the festive fun! The Poinsettia Festival will feature the enchanting tree lighting ceremony, delicious treats from mobile food vendors, live entertainment and attractions, and unique shopping from a variety of merchandise vendors. Food and festival vendors are welcome to be part of this magical event by completing a vendor registration form. The fee for food vendors is $100 for a 10x10 space and $50 for non-profits The fee for merchandise vendors is $50 for a 10x10 space and $25 for non-profits.
